- Cedrus deodara (Roxb. ex D.Don) G.Don (Pinaceae, TRUE Cedrus). "Himalayan cedarwood / Deodar / Devdaru / Tuyết tùng Himalaya / देवदार". National tree của Pakistan; sacred tree trong Hindu + Ayurvedic tradition (devadāru = "gỗ của thần"). Endemic Western Himalaya: Afghanistan → Pakistan → Kashmir → India → Nepal → Bhutan ở 1,500–3,200m. Chưng cất hơi nước từ heartwood.
- Chemistry = α-himachalene 20.0–30.0% + β-himachalene 5.6–10.0% + γ-himachalene 3.0–7.0% + (E)-α-atlantone 8.0–15.0% + cis-atlantone 3.0–7.0% + β-atlantone 2.0–5.0% + deodarone 1.0–4.0% + himachalol 2.0–5.0% + isocentdarol. INVERTED himachalene ratio vs Atlas (α > β; trong Atlas β > α) = diagnostic species discriminator. Higher atlantone content than Atlas (10–20% combined vs Atlas 5–10%).
- Hazards: None known per T&Y (B216 p.512). T&Y KHÔNG contraindicate pregnancy nhưng higher atlantone content than Atlas warrants framework-cautious handling. Truyền thống Ayurvedic materia medica lists deodara là emmenagogue + abortifacient (historical usage ở ORAL doses far exceeding aromatherapy) → folklore-caution only.
- Deodarone + isocentdarol là deodara-signature constituent — anti-inflammatory (COX-2 in-vitro), insecticidal, antimicrobial (broad gram-positive). Himachalol + atlantones confer sedative + anxiolytic signal.
- "Cedarwood" species-discriminator rail (CRITICAL): Himalayan = Pinaceae / Cedrus / α-himachalene-dominant + higher atlantones. Atlas (C. atlantica) = Pinaceae sibling nhưng β-himachalene-dominant (inverted ratio). Virginian = Cupressaceae / — KHÁC FAMILY (α-cedrene-dominant).
