GC-MS composition đơn (Jones, private communication 2002 — báo cáo trong B216). Khác với EO, không có chemotype-by-region study cho absolue.

Toxicologically relevant constituents: coumarin (4.3%) + herniarin (2.3%) — 2 benzopyrone liền-furocoumarin. Khác bergapten trong bergamot, 2 chất này không phototoxic (thiếu vòng furan fused cần cho UV-A DNA cross-linking), nhưng là marker của solvent-extracted matrix.

Sensitization chưa giải thích được: T&Y note trong Comments (p.657): "Lavender absolute gây nhiều phản ứng da hơn lavender oil, nhưng chưa rõ constituent(s) nào chịu trách nhiệm."

Primary use là perfumery + fine fragrance, không functional aromatherapy. Cap 0.1% giới hạn therapeutic-concentration application. Niche uses:

• Natural perfumery: heart/base-note trong lavender architecture.
• Fine-fragrance fixative: tenacity của absolute kéo dài dry-down.
• Aromatherapy: không khuyên dùng — dùng EO thay thế.

Deferred to Mojay ingest. Energetic profile có thể chồng với lavender thật nhưng kèm thêm character "earth"/"yin-settling" từ matrix nặng của absolute.
